The Olympic Torch is on its way to Swindon

The symbol of the 2012 London Olympics will pass through Swindon on 23 May next year.
The Olympic torch will be travel from Royal Wootton Bassett via Chiseldon to Swindon before heading off to Cricklade as part of its journey around the UK from Lands End to the Olympic stadium in London.
Plans to celebrate the occasion include a party in Wharf Green, Swindon town centre.
Originally left off the list of destinations, the torch will now visit some of Swindon's most famous landmarks on its journey through the town.
The Route
Starting at Kingshill, the torch will travel through the heart of Old Town on Victoria Road, before turning into the town centre, stopping at Wharf Green (where the Big Screen will be broadcasting the route).
Other notable place marks it will visit include The Magic Roundabout, Swindon College and the BMW Plant on Gipsy Lane, to name just a few.
