20,000 Thanks! 

Rotary Club of Swindon present Glitter Ball fundraising cheques to local charities

 

This was the happy scene at The Marriott Hotel this evening as seven local charities were presented with much-needed cheques by the Rotary Club of Swindon.

 

 

Just over £20,000 was raised at this year's Glitter Ball at the hotel, now in its 25th year, with the money distributed to the nominated good causes for 2013.

 

They included:

 

CALM

Swindon Women's Refuge

Ridgeway Breast Care Support Group

Phoenix Toy Library

The Fluency Trust

Swindon Carers

Toothill Youth Centre

 

The Rotary Glitter Ball in partnership with The Marriott and the Swindon Advertiser takes place on every May.

Since 1989 it's raised over £660,000 for Swindon's charities.
