Deputy PM back in Swindon to confirm more money for town centre regeneration - VIDEO EXCLUSIVE
SWTV: Nick Clegg Confirms Money For Swindon's Regeneration
Nick Clegg was back in Swindon again today with more good investment news - this time for the town centre.
The Deputy Prime Minister met with local councillors and representatives from the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to confirm a Growth Deal from Government which will see an extra £11.5 million invested in Swindon and Wiltshire between 2016 and 2021.
The deal will help fund the current Kimmerfields regeneration of the town centre and the re-positioning of Swindon bus station, so it's better connected with the train station.
The money is on top of the original £129 million deal which Clegg signed last month (see video below) that will help create 2,000 new jobs and homes.
