Anything is paw-sible at Janet's Puppy Skool in Swindon!

If there's one thing the Covid-19 lockdown has taught us - online learning is definitely going to become more & more popular.

 

And that applies to our pets too!

 

That's why Janet Garrett, who founded Janet's Puppy Skool in Swindon over 14 years ago, has launched a brand-new service where Janet and her award-winning 'side-kick', Mack, & young pretender Maude are helping dog owners teach their four-legged friends the obedience basics.

"It's been great fun bringing it all together," said Janet, who has teamed up with three other renowned trainers to set up a series of lessons on the online platform School For Dogs.

 

 

"Recall, sit & stay, leave, touch & all the essentials of good dog manners are covered in 5 sessions over 6 weeks - 30 classes in all!

 

"Great for puppies and for other dogs, who perhaps need a little training top-up, it's the perfect way to join me and teach your new dog or remind your older ones of what they know, every day for 6 weeks and post your progress as you go.

 

"And it's all there for you to keep and look back on if you get another dog or just want a refresher."

 

Owners from across the world have already signed up for Janet's classes, which cost £50+VAT for the whole series.

 
Puppy Skool re-opening

But teaching face-to-face in Haydon Wick, Swindon, is still Janet's passion and she hopes that mid-July will signal a return to classes at her custom-made school.

 

"Cross fingers, we will be able to allow more than six people to come here with their dogs from then," Janet hopes.

 

 

"We have loads of room here, so self-distancing was never a problem but the restrictions on the number of people who can gather in one place made lessons too difficult, really. So we've been locked down like every other business apart from the new online school.

 

"I can't wait to see everyone back enjoying their dog's company and learning alongside other owners. The classes really are great, social fun - and not just for the dogs!"
