Tessa Jowell praises Olympic effort to build indoor pool
They were jumping for joy in Highworth today to celebrate the official opening of their brand-new indoor swimming pool.
Government minister Tessa Jowell the invited guest of honour at a ceremony today at Highworth Recreation centre, where the MP praised all those involved in the project.

"It's been an Olympic effort to raise the money and then build such a beautiful pool, and I've very proud to share this moment with everyone who made it happen," Ms Jowell told us, before watching a display of diving from the local Thamesdown Diving Club alongside Swindon North MP Michael Wills and members of the Highworth Pool Trustees.
The new £1.4 million facility took 18 months to build and replaced the ageing open-air pool which closed in 2006.
