Another sad day

Wootton Bassett falls silent in tribute once again

Three more casualties of the Afganistan conflict passed through Wootton Bassett today.

The market town, once again, was closed off for the occasion, as hundreds of local people and ex-servicemen lined the high street to pay their respects.

the scene in Wootton Bassett high street today

The funeral courtege of Royal Marines Alex Lucas, Tony Evans and Georgie Sparks passed through the town just after 1.30pm, after the soldiers were flown into nearby RAF Lyneham earlier in the day.
