Swindon man attempts a Guinness World Record

A Swindon man is hoping it'll be fourth time lucky when he attempts to break a Guinness World Record, after disappointment yesterday.

42-year-old Grant Bradshaw was all-set to beat the current record for the number of Eskimo rolls in a minute - that is, full turns under water in a canoe.

Grant gave it his best shot

The record stands at 23, and although Grant attempted it three times at the Dorcan Leisure Centre yesterday afternoon, he hit the wall on one attempt and tired himself out - which worked against him.

"I know I can do it, I do 18 comfortably in a busy pool during training," he told us.

"I've done 24 before, and there's no limit to how many times I can try it, so I will keep going until I achieve it."
