The annual Festival of Literature is back for its 23rd year!

Once again, Festival frolics will begin at dawn on that beautiful ridge in Lawn Woods, overlooking Swindon, at 5.30am on Spring Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May, with the ever-popular Dawn Chorus, where Festival-following early-birds will gather with Spring songs, sunrise stories, verbal and physical acrobatics, music, Maypole dancing, hot breakfasts, plus a good deal of other early-morning merriment and mischief!
12 days of authors and speakers
For the following fortnight, there will be authors and events daily, at midday, teatime, and in the evening, carefully spaced and placed to enable you to attend as many as your own timetable and stamina allow.
Writers already booked to appear include
Brian Blessed, Hilary Bradt, Roger Scruton, Joanne Harris, A N Wilson, Yasmin Khan, Emma Hooper, Vince Cable, Alison Bruce, Christian Feiber, Amy Liptrot and Ken Livingstone.
