Festival of Light Parade 2011
Children enjoy the spirit of Christmas in Swindon town centre
Families gathered in Swindon town centre to take part in the annual lantern parade tonight.
The event was rescheduled from last week after high winds and rain forced a cancellation.
But inside the Brunel Centre proved the perfect location for children, family and friends to show-off their homemade lanterns as they paraded past shops led by a Scottish piper and the mayor.
The Salvation Army then led hymn singing around the Christmas tree.
