Silver medal winner Joe Glanfield to tell inspiring story at National Trust

This week the National Trust is hosting an afternoon lecture with Olympian sailor Joe Glanfield, who won Silver in the 2008 Olympics Games in Beijing.
Pupils from The Commonweal School in Swindon are attending the lecture, and will hear about Joe Glanfield's experiences in last year’s Olympics where he and his partner Nick Rogers clinched a dramatic silver medal, coming back from sitting 4th overall overnight, to second in the final medal race.
Joe will also being giving advice on how to become an Olympic winner, and talking through the reality and hard work behind reaching his level at sailing.
"I think it’s important to use sport to reach out to different young people and help motivate them to realise their potential,” Joe Glanfield, Olympic Silver Medallist said.
