Light Fantastic!
200 school children enjoy a traditional light parade and carol singing in Swindon town centre
It definitely felt like Christmas in Swindon town centre last night.
Over 200 children braved the cold to take part in the first Festival of Light Parade organised by inSwindon.
The event involved children from local schools parade home-made lanterns from the town hall, along Regent Street and Canal Walk, and finally into Wharf Green where Christmas carols were sung.
"It's great to see so many children taking part in this event," commented Simon Jackson, chief executive inSwindon.
"Despite the weather we've had a great turn-out, and it really does feel like Christmas now."
