Purton Knicker Thief
If you live in Purton, you'd better hold onto your knickers!
That's because over the last four months, nearly fifty items of sexy lingerie have been turning up in the village in various locations such as bushes, gates, road signs and even on graves.
And the saucy goings-on have got the Police and locals completely baffled. "It's a mystery," said Purton PC Steve Harvey, "we've no idea who's doing it - or why?" "In all my years of policing it's a new one to me!" What is known, however, is that the 'Phanton Knicker Leaver', as they've now been labelled, doesn't skimp when it comes to quality. All the panties, thongs and bras that have been carefully placed in different positions are made by top French frilly firm 'Miriale'. "It's all brand-new," added PC Harvey, "and we've no reports of missing underwear from washing lines." Police did confirm, though, that all items so far have been taken down and will be used in evidence. So, just who is the 'Phantom Knicker Leaver'? We went off to investigate. Anyone with any information on the Purton underwear mystery are being urged to call Cricklade Police on 0845 408 7000 extention 741817 or crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. |
