High Street
This is High Street. The old picture dates from 1921 and as the caption reads shows a reliability trial of the North Wilts Motorcycle club.
In the background is one of the old Swindon Trams. These ran up until 1929. In the background of the modern photo is a Thamesdown transport bus - the modern replacement of the tram.
