Historical Swindon - Bridge St 

 

This is Bridge Street looking south from the junction with Fleet Street. This area of town has seen many changes in the last few years.

 

The old photo was taken in 1957 before the road was pedestrianised. On the right hand side you can see the Stead & Simpson shoe shop which was demolished recently and is now Wilkinson's.
