From Honda to Aston Martin?
Car giants recruit redundant Swindon workers at job fair
A jobs fair in Swindon today organised by the Honda Task Force attracted more than 25 companies from all over the UK.
The likes of Nissan in Sunderland, Jaguar Landrover in Birmingham, Babcock, First Great Western, Amey and even Aston Martin were all keen to attract the skilled Honda workers made redundant in recent cutbacks.
The Task Force is a collaboration between public sector services including Forward Swindon and Job Centre Plus with private sector partners working to find new career opportunities for the hundreds of workers set to leave the Honda plant at the end of this month.
