The Brunel, Swindon appoints new Operations Manager as high street shopping figures begin recovery.

 

The Brunel shopping centre has further strengthened its operations team with the appointment of David Metcalf as Operations Manager.

 

David comes to the role with a wealth of experience, having previously excelled in a regional operations management role which saw him managing multi-million pound budgets and in excess of 400 staff.

 

“There’s no denying that the current economic climate is still a difficult one for retailers, but my previous financial experience means I am well-equipped for the role and the challenges currently being faced by high street retailers," commented David.

 

“It’s encouraging to see national reports of high street spending figures beginning a steady recovery, but it’s important to have solid operations management infrastructure and effective contract tendering processes in both flourishing and more financially challenging times.

 

“I’m very much looking forward to my future at The Brunel.”

 

David will further strengthen the team led by Tony Wilkes, Centre Manager, who was appointed last August.
