Today my task was to search online for
replacement tyres for my car. Presented with a range of website options to
visit following a search I chose one.
Once upon
the site it was easy to navigate and the process was simple and effective.
There were no obstacles to overcome as a potential customer.
Whether you have an online or offline business,
your primary focus is to engage with and encourage customers to buy your
product or service.
The bottom
line is that unless you gain customers who buy, your business will not work;
you will have no business.
Reflecting
on the ease of use whilst searching for replacement tyres, how easy do you make
it for customers to buy from you?
Here are
some useful tips to help you remove the buying obstacles for your customers:
- Use standard easy to navigate
features on your website
- Include your contact
number/email on each page of your website
- Include ‘click through’ direct
email links
- Give the caller options to
call back – landline/mobile
- Ensure your caller can reach
the operator at any point during a call
- Create an email signature with
ALL your contact details including telephone & mobile numbers, email,
website, social media connections, blog etc
- If there is a problem or
delay, make prompt contact with the customerBe proactive with all customer
notifications
When you
receive feedback from your customers saying, “It was such a pleasure to buy ‘X’
from ‘Y Business’ because the whole process was clear, easy to use and your
customer service was excellent”, you know you’re onto a winning combination.
Make it
easy to buy and watch your sales grow!
