Making The Most of The August Summer Sun

Summer fashion is all about feeling cool and comfortable, yet looking effortlessly stylish. The key to a summer wardrobe is using some winter pieces and adding a fresh bit of colour to brighten up the whole look for relatively cheap!
A lot of us however feel daunted by the idea of a summer wardrobe, a common myth is that to make it summery we have to have everything out, but this is not the case! The British summer season is unpredictable, so it’s good to be prepared for all weathers.
And this month, especially, The Brunel in Swindon has hundreds of great summer bargains to refresh your wardrobe in a few easy steps. Here I am going to show you a few key pieces that can be interchanged throughout your wardrobe for hundreds of different looks.
Smart shorts
The smart look is easily wearable from day to night, with a shirt and flats for the work place, and by adding some jewellery and changing into heels, you get an instant evening look.
Summer dress
Another key piece is a good summer dress, be prepared to spend around between £20-£50 in order to get a dress that will look good and last you through the summer. Try and go for a midi dress (one that falls just around the knees). The reason for this is that nearly everybody shape looks great in it, and they are easily wearable from the office to nightlife.

The next piece, which is essential to a summer wardrobe, is a light vibrant scarf. The scarf is able to mix and match with any outfit, to brighten up a boring outfit, or to have over your shoulders when it gets a bit chilly during those summer evenings. The high waisted shape has been fashionable for a long time with trousers, skirts and this summer with shorts. It fits with most body shapes; it accentuates those with a waist, when tied with a belt of a scarf it shows a waist with women who don’t have one.
The acid wash/faded look is also a brilliant trend to look out for this summer, it’s easily dressed up with a blouse and gladiator sandals, and even easier to dress down with a boyfriend shirt and sneakers.

A bright summer colour is a great choice as it fits from work to evening and even from summer to winter.

The last accessory to any summer wardrobe is a versatile pair of sunnies!
