Dragon Hill & St. George
Swindon's local connection to England's Patron Saint
At this time every year, the nation celebrates St. George's Day - England's Patron Saint. In 2016 it's on
Saturday
23 April.
In Swindon, we tend to make a big patriotic effort in the town centre, plus other events involving much merriment - see details below.
But what many people may not know, is just how connected Swindon and the local area is to St. George - especially the mythical dragon-slaying on the aptly-named Dragon Hill in Uffington.
SwindonWebTV's Alastair Greener went to investigate.
