Toomers Tips for Climbing Roses

Now is a great time to tend to your roses, and Toomers have some of their top tips on how to do just that!

Gardening Tips Swindon
After a cold winter now is a good time to do a final shape & prune of your climbing rose.

Remove unnecessary side branches to leave more of a skeletal framework & tie in any loose ones, making sure your wires are secured to the fence or wall.

Try pulling down some upward growing branches to the near horizontal.

If choosing a new climbing rose look for one that is right for the space available - Toomers stock compact types as well as ones capable of climbing through a tree.
