Mind you, along with the fun of the match, there was a serious side to the evening. Stuart Quinn plays Jake, the Jonny Wilkinson talisman who, in the play, has to run out onto the pitch to take the same kick as the real Jonny Wilkinson in the final. “I score, he scores”, is the line. It's become more than a habit! To make sure he gets his pre-kick style just right, Stuart practised alongside the real McCoy – or Wilkinson...!

Plenty of attention was also paid to how the match action flowed into and out of the play script, how Australians pronounce certain words (Two of our actors play Ozzies!) and even, for some, how to say those rubgy players names properly!
