The Mayor of Swindon, Cllr Michael Barnes, and his wife, Sue, came along to see the opening night of Breakfast with Jonny Wilkinson and told us they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The reason for the visit was that the Mayor and his wife were guests on the awards night of the Harold Jolliffe One Act Play Festival 2008 (HJ'08), which we won by the way!

The couple were so impressed by the standard of drama on offer, that they decided to follow OTTC to the next round in April 2008. Unfortunately, the date clashed with an official visit to Saltzgitter, Swindon's twin town in Germany. Despite the obvious lure of a trip to Clevedon near Bristol to support OTTC, civic duties prevailed and they were unable to follow us on our next step.
