His affections do not that way tend" – I really wanted to highlight the awful way that Polonius treats Ophelia – brutally when she displeases him, coldly all other times – unless, of course she can be of use to him – and then he's all sweetness and light... But as soon as Hamlet discards her, she's back to being no use and treated like a dog. |
