Mike spends a lot of time simply watching the actors try out a scene then leaping in and explaining his view of the moment. He's very precise in what he wants and his cast appreciate that.

"Mike's shown us another side of the play which you don't get when you first read it, which is what a good director does anyway. This is his vision of it which we've picked up on and the characters are building from there", said Lance.

As for rehearsals at the Arts Centre, when these shots were taken, the cast were competing with the noise of the audience and performance up stairs. According to Michael, it's something you just have to accept.

"It's not the easiest thing in the world but you get used to it! Everybody has to put up with that; we work at the Arts Centre which is a small space so we have to put up with small rooms to rehearse in. We never get the stage until quite late on - but we're used to it so we cope with it!"

That's it for the moment from rehearsals from Les Liaisons Dangereuses - we hope you've enjoyed this insight and will visit again to see how we're getting on!
