Bob is played by David Howell, well known to OTTC members as an old boy of the Bradford Players. “You could say this play is an anthropological study of the new collective term for Humans – ‘the office’ ”, remarks David. “I mean, look at all the sexually driven chess playing that goes on in this office. Colleagues working out who fancies who, and whether it’s safe them to make their move... It’s also very funny!”
As for his character? “I can’t help but feel sorry for him”, says David. “He’s lonely, desperate and all he really wants is someone to listen to him... Oh alright; and a quick shag too!”
