Swimming with Sharks

Cal Doughty plays Guy in Swimming with Sharks. This is his second play with OTTC, having performed as a chorus member in our well received production of Sweeney Todd in 2009. As for Swimming with Sharks, Cal says it's a darkly dramatic, and at times funny script. "It's about the boss you hate and how Guy deals with this person. Along the way there are life experiences to be learnt", says Cal.

In fact, Cal has found an analogy for this play with a well known movie starring a fish! "In a way", suggests Cal, "Buddy's story is a bit like ‘Finding Nemo'!. The Clown fish has to go through many trials and tribulations to find his son – along the way he learns to take risks and allow Nemo to take care of himself. Buddy's experience is something like that..."

So, does the underdog become a shark? "You'd better come and see the show to find out!", says Cal!
