Pickle Johns Pub & Restaurant is named after Indian gentlemen from the early part of the twentieth century, who were sent to this fair land to be educated in some of England's finest public schools (Eton, Harrow, Winchester). On their return to India they had adopted English Manners...and the English in turn perceived them as jovial and eccentric characters. In India they were named 'Pickle Johns'.
