by Oscar Wilde
To avoid family obligations Algernon Moncrieff, a bachelor-about-town, has invented Bunbury, a sickly friend who frequently calls him away. His real friend, Jack Worthing, has invented a brother with a devil-may-care attitude, called Earnest, to disguise his own misdemeanours. When Algernon poses as Earnest in order to woo Jack's pretty ward, Cecily, confusion reigns and it takes the discovery of an old handbag before Jack and Algernon can discover the truth behind their deceit. OTTC present an original interpretation of Oscar Wilde’s famous, witty comedy.
