OTTC Brings Home an Award with Foxes in the Early Light
At the Harold Jolliffe One Act Play Festival for 2006, OTTC won The June Thompson Memorial Cup for Dramatic Endeavour.
The adjudicator, Paul Fowler, praised the company for our bravery in agreeing to perform a play before even knowing what it was, and in how we'd approached the production.
Julian Smith (left of picture) was nominated for Best Adult Actor and is seen here with the production's director, David Howell.
Other nominations for 'Foxes' were Kirsty Allen for Best Supporting Actress, as Fata; and Henry Barkus' violin playing for the Matthew Herring Award for Technical achievement.
BBC Radio Swindon Report
With BBC Radio Swindon's involvement in 'Foxes' through their Playwrite competition with the Swindon Advertiser, it's not surprising that they sent along a reporter to see how it faired.
Here, David Howell gives BBC Radio Swindon's Mark Moulding his take on the production.
You can listen to Mark Moulding's report on the final night of the festival, and 'Foxes', which was broadcast on the morning of Monday, 27 February 2006...
