Polonius: "Walk you here, Ophelia" – Okay, technically she's sitting here, waiting for Hamlet to stop blathering on about some "To be or not to be" nonsense... I very nearly moved the To Be soliloquy to somewhere earlier, as it feels much more like Speech #2 than Speech #3 in the progression of Hamlet's mental journey, and there's one "bad" quarto where the speech is somewhere else... In the end, I chickened out. |
