Hamlet: "But go not to mine uncle's bed!" – The two Thrones/Chairs/Bed/Gravesides really were my favourite part of the whole directorial process... I'm awful at measurements, I rarely think in pictures, and I couldn't visualise these at all... But I really knew roughly what I wanted...! We went to BandQ, and a lovely man named Denis Mulholland helped me, er, refine my measurements (ahem!), and then Paul and Duncan seemed to've just reached inside my brain, peeled off the rough idea, and made it a fully functioning, utterly fabulous real thing!
