Nobody Knows I'm a Dog

OTTC Runners Up at One Act Play Festival

OTTC came in as Runners Up at HJ'09 and so go through to the next round of this national play competition!

We're delighted that, at its first UK outing, Nobody Knows I'm a Dog, impressed the festival organiser enough to award it second place!

At its core, 'Nobody Knows I'm a Dog' is about quite sad characters, each dealing with his, or her, self perception and lack of self confidence, and using the internet to portray a false image of themselves.

Having said that, the plot, and the acting brought forth such laughter from the audience, that you'd think NKIAD was an outright comedy!

The Festival Adjudicator at HJ'09, GODA's Michael Kaiser, told us that our production, 'achieved a rapport with the audience with its originality, humour and assured playing. It was a lively and highly competent production which successfully fleshed out the six characters. It was very wordy and the cast were totally on top of the text. …the group identity did emerge and we felt as if we also had made a new group of acquaintances by the end of the evening. Here we had a modern piece of theatre, responding to new developments in society, entertaining and intriguing, an excellent finish to the whole festival.'

OTTC now take their internet-based play to the next round – come and see how we get on!
