Our next production is in September and is the The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, adapted by Stephen Lowe.

Based on Robert Tressell's classic novel of working class life in small town Edwardian England, this adaptation stays faithful to the spirit and passion of the original.

It introduces us to a group of painters and decorators struggling for survival in the face of an indifferent employer and his ruthless works foreman.

There are about 8 parts for men (taking account of doubling up for the cast) and 1 or 2 parts for women and this play is slated for Autumn '09 so it's worth turning up!

As always, OTTC holds open auditions and you're invited to come along!

The audition dates for your diary are:

• Tuesday 9 June 2009 at the Lawn Community Centre in Guildford Avenue
• Thursday 11 June 2009 in the Studio at the Arts Centre

Each audition will begin at 7.30pm.

The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists will be performed on Thursday 10th, through to Saturday, 12th September 2009 at the Swindon Arts Centre.
