René's life seems to lurch from one crisis to another - and none of
them particularly of his doing! In this particular scene, the long
suffering café owner is being persuaded by Michelle Dubois (Extreme right) of
the Resistance to take part in helping British airmen to escape.
Michelle is played by Wendy Skane who returns to OTTC after a 5 year gap. All
we can say is, we're pleased to see her back, as she's certainly
injected the role with the sassiness and comic timing it needs! "'Allo, Allo'
is a play full of obvious jokes - around every corner too!" says Wendy.
"But we can get away with is because they make people laugh - even for
the fifth time of telling - because they're delivered in such
wonderfully comic accents!"
Leclerc, the old forger and - in his opinion anyway - master of
disguise is played by Chris Turpin. His first performance for OTTC was back in
February 2001 and he's quickly made himself a regular performer in
shows since.
