A pint? That's nearly an armful!
Well, that wasn't really a surprise was it?
If you ask anyone in the street to name their favourite Hancock sketch, the 'Blood Donor' is the one they're most likely to go for, even if they can only tell you that a pint is almost an armful!
We put the choice of Hancock sketch to a public vote via the websites of BBC Radio Swindon, along with the Swindon Advertiser, and the 'Blood Donor' came out the clear winner.
"It's a great sketch to perform", says Ashley Heath who'll be co-directing this with OTTC's Julian Smith. "Like doing 'Life of Brian' back in 2000, 'The Blood Donor' is a chance to be a part of Britain's comedy heritage. Make no mistake, it's a privilege for our actors to be uttering the lines which have had audiences laughing for years now!"
So, thanks for voting 'The Blood Donor' to be the third part of our comedy triple bill, 'Best of British'. Along with the 'Don't Tell Him, Pike' episode from 'Dad's Army' and the 'Germans', from 'Fawlty Towers', the first week of September is promising to be a laugh a minute!
