A "convenient" dagger assists the Duke and his ambitious wife to take the throne. Three Witches set out to stop him, as circumstances thrust the heir into their path. They aim to put the rightful king on the throne. The Duke, to stop them interfering sets out to rewrite history, with a play to hide the "accident" and discredit the witches.
