(Unsung and The Roads to Moscow were OTTC's entries in the
All England One Act Play Theatre Festival 2002)
Singing "Unsung"s Praises!
'Unsung' goes through to the Five Counties Youth Festival. For
performers aged 16 and under, this will be held at the Henbury School
on Saturday, 27th April 2002.
Ten year old Abby Davey, won the Beryldene Hunt Cup for the best performance by a junior. Abby's father, Brian Davey - another OTTC member - accepted the award on her behalf.
Another of the "Unsung" cast was also nominated for Best Youth Performance. Gary Coates was pipped at the post by Abby.
...and The Best Man Won! The Audrey Suter Trophy for Best Actor was won by Bob Charman for the second year running, for his performance with the Athelstan Players, and the AP's were, once again, overall runners-up in the competition.
It all goes to show the incredible strength in depth that OTTC can bring to bear on its productions - congratulations to all involved and the best of luck in the next rounds.
